Cookie Policy

Effective date: 1 January 2026

1. What Are Cookies

Cookies are small text files placed on your device by a website. CargoPilot also uses similar technologies such as localStorage and sessionStorage — data stored directly in your browser — to provide core functionality.

This policy explains what we store, why, and your choices. It should be read alongside our Privacy Policy.

2. Who Sets These Technologies

All storage described in this policy is set by Suply Ltd. (operating CargoPilot) directly. We do not currently use third-party advertising or tracking cookies. Some third-party services we use — such as Google Fonts — may independently place cookies or collect request data; see Section 5 for details.

3. Essential Storage

The following storage is strictly necessary for CargoPilot to function. It cannot be disabled while using the platform.

NamePurposeDuration
cargo_pilot_tokenAuthentication token — keeps you signed in during your session (expires after 24 hours)24 hours
cargo_pilot_userCached user profile (name, role, organisation) — avoids repeated API callsSession
cargopilot_session_expiredOne-time flag to show a session-expiry message on the sign-in pageOn next page load
cargo_pilot_cookie_consentRecords your cookie preference so the banner is not shown again1 year
cargo_pilot_avatarCached profile avatar so it renders instantly without a network callPersistent
themeStores your light/dark mode preferencePersistent

4. Analytics and Performance

We currently collect minimal analytics through our own backend logs (request metadata, feature usage counts). We do not use Google Analytics, Meta Pixel, or any similar third-party tracking service.

If we introduce third-party analytics in the future, this policy will be updated and your consent will be sought before any such storage is set.

5. Third-Party Services

CargoPilot loads the following external resources that may result in your browser sending a request to a third-party server:

NamePurposeDuration
Google FontsLoads the Inter and JetBrains Mono typefaces. Google receives your IP address and browser metadata as part of the font request. No cookies set
MapboxPowers the shipment globe and route map. Mapbox may set cookies for tile caching and abuse prevention.Session

These requests are initiated by your browser as part of loading the platform and are not controlled by your cookie preference. See Google's and Mapbox's own privacy policies for details.

6. Your Choices

You can withdraw or change your cookie preference at any time by clearing your browser's local storage for this site, or by using your browser's built-in privacy controls.

Declining optional cookies does not affect your access to the platform. Clearing essential storage (such as echo_token) will sign you out.

Most browsers allow you to block or delete cookies via their settings. Note that blocking storage may affect the functionality of some features.

7. Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy as the platform evolves. If we introduce new uses of cookies or similar technologies that require your consent, we will notify you via a new consent prompt. The effective date at the top of this page will always reflect the latest version.

8. Contact
